Only 26 Days Left to Claim the 5 Percent Early Tax Rebate, NBR Reminds Filers

Individual taxpayers who file their income tax return by September 30 still qualify for a 5 percent discount on their net tax liability, worth up to Tk 25,000. The window opened in July when the National Board of Revenue launched e-return filing for the 2026-27 tax year, and it closes in less than four weeks. Miss it, and the rebate disappears, though there is no penalty until after December.
